College Resources & Tools
College may seem like a long time away or it may be right around the corner. Either way, there are things you can do now to prepare for the college application process. Here are some suggestions for each year.
Freshman Year
- Plan to take the appropriate coursework. (Check out the Texas A&M's requirements.) We suggest that you follow the recommended plans from your high school.
- Get involved in extra-curricular activities, such as through your high school or church. These activities help you gain leadership experience.
- Build your personal file so you can document your activities, leadership roles and community service/volunteer projects. Also keep up with any awards you earn.
