Financial Aid CalendarThe key to getting financial aid is to apply early! The amount of aid awarded is determined through your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. You must fill out this form to be eligible for financial assistance at Texas A&M. Below is a general time frame to follow. For specific deadlines, visit the Department of Student Financial Aid. January: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms are available for the upcoming year in high school counselors' office or online at the FAFSA Web site. (Note: The online form is faster and easier) January: Texas A&M University's Opportunity Award Scholarship application is due! Applications are available online at the Department of Student Financial Aid. By January 30: You and your parents should receive your W-2 forms from your employers. You will need these to complete your tax return. After you and your parents have completed your tax returns, you are ready to complete the FAFSA. April 1: This is the priority date to submit your FAFSA form. Submit ASAP! |
